Run, runner!
Ah, Logan's Run. Almost more action, 70's mall shots, skiffy goodness, and partial nudity than a single-digit-aged Greg could handle. It was through Logan's Run and Planet of the Apes sequels that my love of sweet, vivid 70's sci-fi was permanently imprinted on my smooth brain. My friend Alan's dad worked in the prop department of MGM, and Alan had a real Logan's Run blaster. So jealous, I was. Still am.

I'm with you on the permanent imprint on your brain part.
I still have dreams of running around in, or searching through, underground industrial factories filled with miles of rusted metal and piping, for whatever silly thing is the quest in my dream, and I know it's because of watching Logan's Run as a tot.
Odd that I'd have that, and not running around in a big shopping mall shooting at people dreams, but my brain is strange like that.

The shopping mall scenes all had really goofy costuming that your dream mind might be unwilling to take seriously.

Did I truly see the name "Farrah Fawcett" in that brief list of credits? I'd forgotten...
I'd forgotten Jenny Agutter, too, though I'd remembered Michael York. Who was the guy in the TV series? The girl on that was Heather Menzies.
Yes, I wanted the TV show. *And* Planet of the Apes when it was on TV, *and* the animated Star Trek....

In the TV series, Logan was played by Gregory Harrison. I had to Google that to be sure.
David, I totally don't want to see a remake of Logan's Run! Although Ewan would make a good Logan, of course.

Don't worry, sadly they *are* remaking it, apparently with Bryan Singer, providing his career survives Superman Returns.
I think there's talk of taking more of the original elements from the first two books.
After reading the first book, I'm not sure if we need to make it more true to the source material.
But, hey, it's not my $150-250 million.
